Orders
These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions on our website. You should read through them carefully before placing your order.

Discount codes, offer codes & free UK delivery (for full priced bags over £85) cannot be applied to items that have already been reduced in price.

All our products are handmade and may be subject to natural variation in size and colour.

When you place an order, we will require your name, and e-mail address. Without this information, we will not be able to process your request or notify you of acceptance of your order.

A contact telephone number is also required so that we may reach you if there is a problem with your order, or if your order requires a delivery quote. We may, unless you advise us otherwise, pass this information to our couriers or other agents in case they need to contact you to arrange the processing or delivery of your order. As part of our efforts to ensure that you are aware of the latest developments and offers, we may also use this information to advise you of new products, special offers or changes to our site. Order confirmation
We will obtain authorisation on your card before your order can be accepted. Once authorised we will send an order confirmation to the e-mail address you have supplied to us. You will be notified if there are any delays. If there are any problems with your order or if your item(s) is out of stock, you will be contacted by one of our customer services representatives either by email or by phone. We reserve the right to cancel your order if there is reason to until the point of dispatch. If this occurs, we will notify you and refund your order in full.

Contract Cancellation
You are entitled to cancel this contract provided you contact us within 14 days of receiving your purchases and we will send you a returns form. You then have a further 14 days to send the goods back to us. Provided the items are returned in their original condition and sent back in suitable packaging, we will give you a refund for the cost of the item including a standard delivery charge.
If you wish to exchange your item, you can then place a new order for the item you wish to exchange your original order for.

Personalised items: any item that has been personalised is non-refundable and non-returnable. Where a free bag tag has been provided as the bag cannot be embossed, the bag can be returned as it has not been personalised. However, the bag tag should not be returned, and the embossing charge will not be refunded.

Pricing and payment
Payment for all orders is in pounds sterling and at point of sale (not at the point of despatch) and inclusive of VAT. We offer a currency conversion guide which will calculate the price in USD and Euros. These converted prices are for guidance only and the amount you are charged by your card issuer/PayPal will differ. Many credit/debit card issuers now charge a conversion fee for transactions in currencies other than one assigned to your card.

The total cost of your order is the price of the products ordered plus delivery. You confirm that the credit or debit card that is being used is your own. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to or does not, for any reason, authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. We reserve the right to withdraw any products from this site at any time and/or remove or edit any materials or content on this site. We may refuse to process a transaction for any reason or refuse service to anyone at any time at our discretion. We will not be liable to you or any third party by reason of our withdrawing any product from this site whether or not that product has been sold.

The price you pay is the price displayed on our website at the time we receive your order and will be clearly stated on your order confirmation, with the following exceptions. If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered, we will inform you as soon as possible and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled and will give you a full refund.

Online orders must be paid for by credit/debit card. We accept Visa, Delta card, MasterCard, Amex, and Switch. Other methods of payment are available and these include PayPal and direct bank transfer. All goods will remain the property of Scaramanga until paid for in full. We do not accept cheques.

Gift Vouchers or Coupon Codes

  • Gift vouchers are valid for one year only
  • Gift vouchers can only be used online or in-store once and no change can be given
  • Only one gift voucher or discount code may be used per transaction
  • Our gift vouchers can be used online or in our Cupar store
  • Discount coupons can only be used within the valid period. This period cannot be extended
  • STUDENT DISCOUNT is only applicable on FULL PRICED items.  All sale items or other discounts will be excluded
  • If you buy a product that comes with a promotional Gift Voucher, and then return the product for a refund the Gift Voucher must also be returned unused

Delivery

UK Delivery: We aim to despatch most orders the same day or the next working day. You should receive your order two working days from despatch. Smaller items such as leather journals, take 2-4 working days to arrive. If you need your order in a hurry or guaranteed within 3 days, we strongly recommend you use our UK Next Day Guaranteed Delivery service. If you opted for our UK Next Day Guaranteed Delivery service and ordered before 2pm Monday to Friday your order will arrive the next working day. A signature will be required on delivery of your order.

International Orders: Orders for European destinations usually take 5-10 days to arrive. Orders for the US/Canada/NZ/Australia and other worldwide destinations can take 5-20 working days to arrive. There may be additional charges for delivery to some remote areas/regions in some countries.

These timeframes are those recommended by Royal Mail and other Courier companies that we use and based on normal weather and operational conditions. In exceptional and unforeseen circumstances there could be delays that result in an order arriving after the predicted delivery date.

Furniture items: there may be an additional delivery charge for parcels, pallets or with our specialist delivery service. This may be for the Highlands & Islands of Scotland and other locations that incur additional charges from our delivery partners. If you wish to return your order and we arrange the collection for you - there will be a minimum charge of £10 for collection, which will be taken from your refund. The return cost will usually be higher than the initial delivery charge. If the delivery was made by one of our specialist delivery partners the delivery return will be a minimum of £120 dependent on location. Return pallets booked and managed by us will cost a minimum of £60.

If you miss a scheduled pallet delivery a pallet redelivery surcharge of between £18 and £30 dependent on area will need to be paid before redelivery is made. This is a charge made by the delivery pallet network. KW, IV and PA postcodes may have higher surcharges.

Any charges incurred due to redelivery costs not at the fault of Scaramanga will be passed onto the customer. If there are any restrictions at your address that may hinder delivery of furniture (for example, a narrow road that isn't accessible via HGV, or parking restrictions or inaccessible rooms for larger furniture deliveries), you must tell us so we can arrange alternative transport. Any additional delivery or return costs incurred due to us not being fully informed of any restrictions will be passed onto the customer.

Please note that, if any part of your order arrives damaged or missing, you must tell us as soon as possible and keep the damaged item, plus the packaging. Any claim that we make with the delivery service used in regards to your order arriving damaged or missing must be filed within 14 days of delivery, so you must co-operate with any evidence that we ask you to provide in order to resolve your issue.

Orders from outside the UK
Orders placed from outside the UK may be subject to taxes and duty on arrival at the destination country. The price quoted on our site does not include these charges. If you are ordering for delivery to an EU country* you will be required to pay VAT and any applicable duties and a processing fee to the courier/postal service before they deliver your order.
VAT will be around 20% but could vary depending on the country's rate, our leather goods are duty-free and the customs processing fee is approximately £12 for most of our bags. The processing fee may vary depending on the value of the order and the courier/postal service used. Security and credit card clearing
All card payments made on our web site are protected by a secure connection provided by SagePay; a leading provider of secure online card payments.

When you place an order all credit card details are encrypted using 128-bit encryption on a Braintree secure SSL server (note: you will only see the golden padlock symbol on the page where you enter your credit card details). These details are transferred to the processing bank where they are authorised. Neither we nor anybody else sees the details and they are not held in clear text on any web site. We do not receive your credit card details, therefore we are unable to add items to an order once it is placed.

Jurisdiction
The products and services offered on Scaramanga’s website are sold for use within the United Kingdom. Use of this web site shall be governed by Scottish Law and will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts. These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights.
