Once upon a time, this large traditional wooden-burning 'sigdi' stove was used for home cooking in Northern India.
Sigdi Fire Stove (Large) size: W38cm x D52cm x H20cm.
Traditionally it would have been used as a combination fire bowl, to keep warm, during the chilly evening and mornings and as a stove to brew tea.
Of course today it could be used for the same functions.
We estimate the stoves are approximately 60-70 years old.
Scaramanga also has a great selection of smaller (and rounder) versions of these wonderful items: OFRN70603.
Not for indoor use.
