The 'tiger-eye' wood grain pattern of this vintage Japanese chest of drawers is clearly striking. It takes a high level of woodwork craftsmanship to achieve this standard of beauty. We have left this cabinet as we found it with it's Wabi Sabi - perfectly imperfect - timeworn woodwork.
Featuring great proportions and metal drop handles, this cabinet is a flexible cabinet suitable for a home office, bedroom or living room. Scaramanga would recommend this piece as a jewellery or memory box.
This is an old piece of furniture - from the 1940-50s. It's surface patina is distinctive. We particularly like the distressed area around the upper handle which has evolved from decades of opening and closing the drawer. Its many surface imperfections of this vintage item give it a wonderful rustic charm.
Be the next careful owner of this pre-owned cabinet.
