Our classic slim tan hand bound large leather notebooks have been our most popular leather travel journal over the last two years. Their simple wrap and tie design means they can withstand being thrown, bashed and sat on! They are slim enough to fit in to most bags.
Each contains 40 pages (80 sides) of handmade paper made from recycled cotton, which creates a unique texture that is suitable for most pens types (except fountain pens) and sketching. Handmade from the finest leather, dyed a rich tan brown and embossed.
These great value handmade large leather notebooks / journals can be used as a diaries, journals, as sketchbooks, writing down recipes, collecting poems, they make a great place to record an exotic or unusual holiday with memories, photos, mementoes and souvenirs. An ideal wedding or birthday gift for friends or family.

Note: all our notebooks – except for the XL notebook – contain handmade paper. The handmade paper used in our journals varies and may contain flower petals or other natural fibres. The embossed / tooled designs to the cover of our leather journals will vary from notebook to notebook and may not be the same as shown in the pictures.

It took me ages to find the perfect journal and was supposed to be a present for a friend but I can t bear to part with it so will be ordering more soon. Ordering was easy and delivery impressively fast . I purchased two leather journals. One I gave to a friend as a fiftieth birthday present. He was going on a trip to Borneo and he found it really useful for recording all the fantastic things he did .He also kept drawings, postcards and other bits and pieces inside that reminded him of his journey. The second I used myself on a trip to Namibia I found that the journal tucked quite easily into my rucksack and didn't weigh much at all. It's really nice quality and something that I will treasure. I ordered this travel journal for my boyfriend and couldn't believe the great quality! the journal is very handsome. Beautiful leather and the natural pages add a nice touch. Needless to say he was quite happy with his gift. As always, Scaramanga was excellent to deal with too. I may have to order one for myself now!
I bought the travel notebook to record my thoughts / travel plans and experiences for my up coming trip to Las Vegas! In some ways the style and quality of the notebook is not in keeping with the bright lights and showbiz style of Vegas itself. But I wanted something easy to carry that would look good afterwards. The notebook is well made light and exactly what I wanted - can't wait to start writing in it. Now all I've got to do is find a suitable pen .....!
This is a brilliant Company. I bought the Leather Travel Journal for a friend's 60th birthday holiday of a lifetime to New Zealand.
