Inspired by the classic old brown leather school satchel Scaramanga’s medium retro satchels are ideal for girls who want a practical but stylish leather bag with space for all their day-to-day stuff without looking bulky.
Our leather satchels are sturdy enough to hold laptops, Macbook pros, A4 folders and files and much much more. Versatile enough to be used as a small overnight bag, travel bag or a college book bag.
Each leather satchel has a fabulous antique leather finish, so you don’t have to wait ages for that vintage leather look and feel.

Under flap is the main compartment large enough to hold most small and medium laptops or an A4 file or folder. There is a long zipped pocket on the front of the bag under the flap and two further pockets inside the bag.

I love the messenger bag I ordered! It's the perfect size for notebooks and I can even fit a laptop in to it. My beautiful bag arrived speedily & is practical enough to be used daily for work. It's big enough for A4 files, all my junk, & still closes-perfect! Also, the looks improve & it gets softer the more I use it. The biggest problem was deciding which bag to buy! Thanks scaramanga!

I bought the medium bag as birthday present to myself. I had been looking for ages for a retro school satchel type bag that would be big enough to hold my 12' laptop. This fit the bill exactly, room for the laptop, my other bits and pieces and looks the business too. It gets daily use to and from work and looks better and better with age. I bought this bag for my boyfriend to carry his laptop and a few A4 documents in and it's a perfect size for this. It's also a beautiful colour of leather. Before I found the website I'd spent a few weeks scouring E-bay for an expensive vintage bag with no joy. The Scaramanga bag was by far and away the best I found. I bought the large bag as a Christmas gift for my 26 year old daughter who had wanted a vintage satchel and was disappointed that I didn't have my old school one! She was delighted with it - particularly the antiqued leather look. Her only slight gripe is that the buckle sometimes comes undone - maybe a slightly longer pin would help?
The bag is a joy to wear. It is comfortable beautiful and durable. The only criticism I have is that the pin in the right clasp is a good bit shorter than the one in the left clasp. This results in the clasp opening on its own and looking sloppy. Even so, I will probably buy another one when this bag finally dies.
