This beautiful leather notebook / journal is a work of art in its own right.
It has been meticulously handcrafted using traditional leather craftwork and book binding skills.
The rich tan leather cover has been rubbed with vegetable based dyes to give it a lovely antique leather book patina. The leather cover has then been finished with small simple hand tooled embossed patterns.
Each leather notebook contains 120 pages (240 sides) of handmade paper made from recycled cotton, which creates a unique luxurious texture that is suitable for most pens types (except fountain pens) and sketching.
This notebook would look stunning on any coffee table and would make a great wedding or birthday present, or a gift as a memory book for a new baby.
The extra extra large leather journal could be used for keeping mementoes, memories and records from special events or as a guest book.

I was really pleased with the notebook I ordered> It was of superb quality had a lovely soft texture to the leather and the handmade natural look and feel of it was beautiful. I loved the way it looked old too. From the fact that it was handmade and from the natural tan colour of the leather and the embossing. I could imagine it looking perfectly at home in a house centuries ago! Overall I would rate the service and the product with the top 5 stars! Thank you Scaramanga! :-)
I needed a special notebook to write a book draft in and this fits the bill. It is lovely and large with nice thick paper and a cool cover. It is also strong enough to be lugged around in a bag.
Absolutely second to none. I was having a huge amount of trouble finding a notebook large enough and this was perfect! And it will look even better when it's a bit worn. The service I received was better than I could have hoped. Scaramanga couldn't have helped me more. Beautifully bound hand made paper & leather cover make this an ideal book for writing/sketching/sticking things in - and allows room for additional thickness of photos etc. Arrived well packaged and very quickly. I have already recommended Scaramanga to others who are looking for similar products.
I purchased the book for a specific task, and the book fulfulls this to an excellent level. I wasn't sure what size the book would be, but when it arrived it was simply exactly what I looking for, as I would be carrying the book arround with me I needed it to be small enough to fit in a bag but big enough to have an impact visually. The craftsmanship which has gone into the book is of a very high standard and the book is a dream to hold, read from and write in. I cannot put it down some days when I am writing in it. I have decided to take pictures of the books for decoration with some other items, again connected to the reason I have bought the book as it has such an appeal to the eye I wanted to capture it. The service of scaramanga is second to none, and even after I have bought the book, I have an excellent service when enquiring about other purchases I wish to make. Overall the noteook / site and service is excellent and deserves every one of the 5 stars. I will definitely be back and recommending the services to friends and family. Beautiful. Timeless and unique- perfect for the memory book I used it for.
We are great note takers, analysers and reflectors in our family, so when I saw this wonderful selection of Leather bound notebooks, some with locks and all on natural papers I was hooked. We took a great risk and we had been burned before but not this time. The Notebooks are superb and a very popular bithday item for all ages if I am to believe the large number of hints being dropped already for the Christmas season. The great thing is that with a bit of effort one's notetaking can be turned into something beautiful and permanent. My last trip to Rome was one such opportunity.Spontaneous reactions.Drawn maps and details.Tickets stuck in and photos everywhere. It was just a lovley memory from a great holdiday.We also do the same with an Opera book.Book reviews.Restaurants etcetc.Always the smallest notebook in our pockets with a camera and a soundrecorder for instant reflection and reaction. This is life with maximum presence and fokus.A very heady mixture.
