Product Information for Wooden Chest 741

SOLD   Old wooden storage chest with a  hand carved interior, brass handles, bindings, facings, and edgings.
The lid lifts to reveal the top level with multiple compartments of varying sizes with carved flower lids.
On the inside of the lid is a rack running the width of the chest. Under the two trays is the lower level comprising a single large compartment taking up most of the area of the trunk. Old chest with a large single compartment with a small upper side compartment.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
Indian merchants and families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, valuables, heirlooms, notes and records.
