Product Information for Old Wooden Chest 780

SOLD Old wooden Indian chest with an inlaid brass front panel and a beautiful hand carved interior,  handles, bindings, facings, and edgings.
The lid lifts to reveal the top level with multiple compartments of varying sizes with carved flower lids. Under the two trays is the lower level comprising a single large compartment taking up most of the area of the trunk

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.

Indian families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping money, valuables, notes and records.
We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
