Product Information for Old Wooden Chest 272

SOLD Large classic old wooden chest with draw and a hand carved interior. This an unusual chest with seventeen different sized compartments, many hidden behind sliding lids. There is a lower level draw with recessed brass handles. The chest has been made from thick teak giving it a solid look. The exterior has brass bound edges and hasp and staple.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
Indian merchants and families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, valuables, heirlooms, notes and records.
