Product Information for Old Wooden Chest 2081

SOLD Large old wooden chest with brass edging and corners. The chest has been painted a dark colour, which has faded to reveal some of the original hardwood. The lid lifts to reveal a large main compartment and two upper side compartments.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
Indian merchants and families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, valuables, heirlooms, notes and records.

We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
