SOLD Old rosewood stationery chest with brass corners and edging. The lid lifts to reveal an upper level with multiple compartments, below which is a larger compartment.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory boxes or a great place to put your valuables.

Indian merchants would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, money, valuables, notes and records.

We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
