SOLD Old faded red stationery box with secret side draw, which leads, to a further two small secret draws and compartments. Lid opens to reveal six compartments including two in a removable tray. Secret compartment is accessed from the right hand side

Indian merchants or shopkeepers would have originally used these authentic old wooden stationery boxes and money boxes for keeping cash, valuables, notes and records. Each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments they contain

We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our antique wooden boxes and moneyboxes.

Note: This particular box's surfaces have faded significantly and has two whitish marks left by removed stickers. Our small wooden boxes and money boxes are genuine old pieces and are not new or made to look old. They may have small marks and scratches on them, which are consistent with their age and original use. We feel these add to their character and appeal. The slots may not be able to take all UK currency coins. Please look at the photos to get an idea of their condition.
