SOLD Old faded turquoise money box with two money slots. The box was originally painted turquoise and then blue. Over time the blue, then turquoise paint faded, leaving a wonderful mottled effect. Box comprises of two small upper level compartments and a larger main compartment.
Indian merchants, shopkeepers and families would have originally used these authentic vintage wooden boxes and money boxes for keeping cash, valuables, notes and records. Each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments they contain
