Product Information for Old Distressed Painted Chest 2690

SOLD Large old coloured wooden chest with a distressed and faded finish. The chest would have originally been made and initially used with a natural dark wooden finish. At sometime its owners would have painted it several times. Over time the paint has faded to reveal some of the original dark wood.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
Indian merchants and families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, valuables, heirlooms, notes and records.
