SOLD Old camphorwood storage box with brass hasp and staple. The top of the box has initials and 'Bombay' written on its top. The lid lifts to reveal a single compartment. Camphorwood is famed for its wonderful natural scent, wihch the wood continues to give off for many many years.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory boxes or a great place to put your valuables.

Indian merchants would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, money, valuables, notes and records.

We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
