Product Information for Metal Green Military Trunk

SOLD Old metal trunk, which would have been used by Indian army officers to carry their possessions. They would have been a modern alternative to teak military chests used in colonial India by British officers. The trunk is opened  - by sliding a lockable bolt - to reveal a large single compartment case. The green paint has faded over time.

Our chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory boxes or a great place to put your valuables.
We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old chests and trunks.

Note: Our chests are not new or made to look old. They may have small marks and scratches on them, which are consistent with their age and original use.
