Product Information for Large Wooden Chest 1128

SOLD Old large chunky wooden chest which would have originally used as a strong box or valuables storage box by merchant's or households. The lid opens to reveal a large main compartment with a small compartment in the upper part of the chest. It has been constructed from super thick hardwood and features two hasps and staples. 

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
Indian merchants and families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, valuables, heirlooms, notes and records.
