Product Information for Black Wooden Box 835

SOLD Old faded black box with brass edging and lots of internal compartments. The lid lifts to reveal a top level with eight compartments, including three in a removable tray. The tray can be removed to gain access to the lower compartment.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory boxes or a great place to put your valuables.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.

Indian merchants would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping money, valuables, notes and records.

We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
