Product Information for Antique Pine Travel Trunk 1600

SOLD  Superb antique pine travel  trunk with iron banding and corners. This lovely early Victorian pine trunk has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The lid opens to reveal a removeable webbed rack, which leads to a the lower compartment. There is also a small lidded side compartment. The chest would have been used to store possessions while travelling by carriage / house and cart  / on sea voyages.

Our old wooden chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
This distinctive old chests would make a stunning feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
