Product Information for Antique Blanket Chest 1576

SOLD  Striking antique blanket chest. This large Victorian pine chest is one of the few pine chests we currently have in stock.  The lid opens to reveal a large main compartment with an upper side compartment. The chest would have originally been used to store blankets, bed linen and candles. The chest has a textured top and front panel and has been recently painted. The chest was lined with newspaper dated 15th August 1950.

Our old wooden chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
This distinctive old chests would make a stunning feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
