SOLD Original old wooden chest with ten compartments. The lid lifts to reveal the top level with nine compartments (including three in a removable tray). The lower level comprising a single compartment takes up most of the area of the trunk.
A rack with three compartments runs the entire length of the lid.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
Indian merchants and families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, valuables, heirlooms, notes and records.

We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
