Original small old wooden chest with a stunningly beautiful hand carved interior, brass edging and escutcheon.
The lid lifts to reveal the top level with five compartments, including a removable tray.
On the inside of the lid is a rack running the width of the chest.
Under the tray is the lower level comprising a single compartment taking up most of the area of the trunk.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.

Indian merchants would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping money, valuables, notes and records.

We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
