Product Information for Old Wooden Stationery Chest 855

SOLD Beautiful old stationery chest, made from a dark tropical hardwood with inlain brass patterns on the front and top panel. The lid lifts to reveal a top level with ten compartments, including two in a removable tray.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory boxes or a great place to put your valuables.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.

Indian merchants would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping money, valuables, notes and records.

We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
