SOLD Antique merchant’s cash box with brass escutcheon, hasp and side banding. Chunky hardwood construction. Single compartment.

Indian merchants or shopkeepers would have originally used these authentic old wooden boxes and money boxes for keeping cash, valuables, notes and records. Each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments they contain

We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our antique wooden boxes and moneyboxes.

Due their size / weight we are unable to accept orders for wooden boxes outside the UK.
