SOLD Old wooden Shekawati box from Rajasthan, India. A real life treasure chest. Famed for the exquisite hand carving the craftsmen of Shekawati have been producing pieces like these for centuries.
 
Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
Indian merchants and families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping stationery, valuables, heirlooms, notes and records.
