SOLD Old merchant’s cash box with brass money slot and hasp, which had previously been a stationery box. Lid lifts to reveal large compartment, on the inside of the lid are three letter racks.

Indian merchants or shopkeepers would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping cash, valuables, notes and records. Each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments they contain

We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our antique wooden boxes and moneyboxes.
