At sometime its owners would have painted it blue, which has faded over time to reveal some of the original wood. These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory boxes or a great place to put your valuables.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
Indian merchants would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping pens, money, valuables, notes and records.
We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
