SOLD Antique merchant’s cash box with three money slots. Chunky dark hardwood with iron hinges, handle, hasp and side straps. Single compartment. The old wooden box has been finished with light engraved lines.

Indian merchants or shopkeepers would have originally used these authentic vintage wooden boxes and money boxes for keeping cash, valuables, notes and records. Each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments they contain

We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our antique wooden boxes and moneyboxes.

Due their size / weight we are unable to accept orders for wooden boxes outside the UK.

They may have small marks and scratches on them, which are consistent with their age and original use. We feel these add to their character and appeal.
