Product Information for Steamer Trunk 2710

SOLD Vintage steamer trunk from around the 1940s. This old travel trunk has a main compartment. This is a fine - if well used - example of luggage specially made for the rigours of rail, sea and road travel in the early and mid 1900’s. The trunk has been constructed from wood and covered in hessian material and then painted. There are faded balck metal bands and leather straps binding the trunk.

There is some wear to the top panel and there is a little movement to the top panel. No keys included.

Today they make interesting and fascinating features around the home. Their bold simple construction and their distressed look and feel mean they can be used in so many ways. Use an old trunk at the end of a bed or on top of a cupboard or wardrobe for storing linen or clothes.
Quite simply no retro or vintage influenced room would look right without a classic old travel trunk.
