Product Information for RAF Officer's Trunk 2877

Old Royal Air Force officer's travel trunk.
British military trunk believed to be from around 1960s. Strong metal trunk with reinforced edges and corners. The top panel has the following enscribed on it: 'F/Lt W. COOMBES, 50320. R.A.F ...80 HAMPTON RD SOUTHPORT, LANCS ENGLAND'.
There are further RAF markings and writing on the front panels and sides.
The lid opens to reveal a single blue compartment.

Officer's military chests like these would have been a modern alternative to wooden military chests used across the British Empire.
