SOLD  Old steamer trunk from the 1920/30s. This fitted trunk dates from the Art Deco period.  Also known as a cabin trunk or wardrobe trunk. It folds open to reveal an expanding wardrobe section and an arrangement of 4 drawers. This is an example of an old travel trunk which has a hanging rail, wooden hangers, lower document and briefcase. This is a classic example of luggage specially made for the rigours of rail, sea and road travel. The trunk's interior red fabric lining has faded, there is no mould or unwanted odours. There some marks or dents to the exterior of the trunk. The lock has a working key.

Today they make interesting and fascinating features around the home. Their bold simple construction and their distressed look and feel mean they can be used in so many ways. Use an old trunk at the end of a bed or on top of a cupboard or wardrobe for storing linen or clothes.
