Product Information for Pair Of Vintage Apple Crates

Charming authentic pair of vintage apple crates with the 'SPITLEFIELDS MARKET' and 'DEPOSIT 4/d' name branded on the sides of each crate. These rustic crates, dating from the 1960s, were originally known as apple bushel crates and have a weathered look and feel. We have hand brushed each crate, lightly sanded and then waxed them to give them a great finish.
The make great under bed storage, ideal as children’s toy boxes, storing logs, wines bottles, laundry, books, use them in your garden or shed to display potted plants. You could even use them as they were used: storing fruit and veg! Stack them for a great look and saving space.
Still using those ubiquitous plastic crates from your local DIY store? Try a few of our vintage crates for a flash of retro interior design. They look far better.
Please bear in mind that these are original crates used on working farms for many years so the crates you receive may not be the same as the ones in the photos. The writing on the crates may differ and in some cases may be faded, but still visible.
