Product Information for Old Wooden Chest 1507

SOLD  Striking old rosewood merchant's chest with brass banding. The chest opens to reveal various compartments in the upper section and large lower compartment.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
This distinctive old chests would make a stunning feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.

Indian families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for storing valuables, notes and records.
We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.

Note: This particular chest has a narrow gap showing between the pieces of wood used to make the top panel. These are not cracks are are normal for an old piece of furniture. Our chests are not new or made to look old. They may have small marks and scratches on them, which are consistent with their age and original use. We feel these add to their character and appeal.
