Product Information for Old Merchant's Chest 904

SOLD Old faded dark green merchant’s chest with small drawer. The lid lifts to reveal a nine upper level compartments and a larger lower section.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory boxes or a great place to put your valuables. This chest would also make a stunning feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.

An Indian merchant would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping money, valuables, notes and records. They can still be seen being used at some of India’s oldest markets.
We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
