Product Information for Old Wooden Chest 758

SOLD Old red and blue hardwood chest with side handles. The chest would have originally been made and initially used with a natural dark wooden finish. At sometime its owners would have painted it blue and then red. Over time the paint has faded to reveal some of the original dark wood.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
This distinctive old chests would make a stunning feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.

Indian families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for storing valuables, notes and records.
We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.

They may have small marks and scratches on them, which are consistent with their age and original use. We feel these add to their character and appeal.
