Product Information for Old Wooden Blue Desk 10

SOLD An old blue merchant’s desk with two small draws, which have been painted green. The chest would have been painted blue by its owner and over time it has faded naturally.

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
They would make a great feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
These distinctive old chests would make beautiful jewellery or memory box or a great place to put your valuables.
Indian merchants would have originally used these authentic old wooden desks for working and keeping money, valuables, heirlooms, notes and records. They can still be seen being used by older merchant's in old traditional markets in Rajasthani cities such as Jaipur and Jodhpur.

We also have antique brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
