Product Information for Old Leather Travel Trunk 2736
SOLD Glorious antique American leather travel trunk from the late 1800s. This is an unusual large domed Saratoga trunk used for trans-Atlantic steamer travel at the end of the 20th century. The owners address can just be made out on the top of the trunk. 'Brooklyn, New York' and some others words were hand painted on the top. The trunk has a pine carcass, and it is covered with leather. There are wooden struts across the top and sides.
There is one of the top struts has sustained some damage and has split. A part of this strut is visible. The interiors shows significant signs of wear.
