Product Information for Domed Antique Pine Chest 2701

SOLD Antique dome topped pine chest circa 1870 from Europe. The dome top lifts up to expose a deep storage chest, with a side tiller with a lift up lid for the storage of candles and valuables.
The chest has exposed dovetails on all sides. Typical of domed chests from France, Blegium and the Netherlands it has has a tapering form that extends to substantial bracket feet. It has large hand-forged iron carrying handles at each end, small iron knob and escutcheon plate.
This chest has been hand stripped by our expert craftsmen and is in an excellent condition. There is  no damage or condition issues.

Our old wooden chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
This distinctive old chests would make a stunning feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
