SOLD Antique pine chest with wide iron banding. This extra large has been hand stripped leaving some of the texture and a deep antique pine colour . The lid opens to reveal a large main compartment with an upper level lidded side compartment and two small drawers. The chest would have been used to store blankets and bed linen.

Note: This chest has previously been painted and stripped. In some parts some of the original off-white paint can be seen. There are two 10-15cm stratches on the top panel. These have been waxed, but not completely removed. They can be seen in the image of the top panel. Our chests are not new or made to look old. They may have small marks and scratches on them, which are consistent with their age and original use. We feel these add to their character and appeal.
