Suberb antique grand Rajasthani wooden chest with beautiful brass work to the front panel and heavy iron banding on the top and sides. This is largest wooden chest we have ever acquired. Constructed with thick side panels and top with a single large compartment with a series of small compartments runnign along the top. It would make a grand feature in a living room, hallway or bedroom. This old chest is from Rajasthan, north west India and is typical of the Rajasthani style of furniture making with iron edging, large hinges, large leaf-shaped hasp and decorative wheels. The top section of the top lifts to open the chest.

This distinctive old chests would make a stunning feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.
Indian families would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for storing valuables, notes and records.

Our chests are not new or made to look old. They may have small marks and scratches on them, which are consistent with their age and original use. We feel these add to their character and appeal.
