Product Information for Antique Blue Chest s649

Large antique faded blue chest  with a scalloped aproned base. The lid opens to reveal a large main compartment with a small compartment in the upper right hand side. The chest has been painted blue by a previous owner,which over time as faded to reveal the original dark wood beneath (the blue paint has faded extensively on the top). 

Our hardwood chests and trunks are unusual and each differs in size, style, finish and the number of compartments inside them.
This distinctive old chests would make a stunning feature in a living room, bedroom or in a study.

Indian families and merchants would have originally used these authentic old wooden chests for keeping money, valuables, notes and records.
We also have antique and new brass padlocks available to complement our old wooden chests and trunks.
