Beautiful old coloured tikka pot. These unusual brightly coloured vintage pots are authentic old pots from India.
They would have been filled with a coloured tikka powder, usually red. Many still contain traces of red, orange and pink tikka powder.
Tikka is the spot where Indian Hindus place a smudge, dot or line on the forehead. It is often used to greet visitors to a home and auspicious occasions.
